This year, Wind Up feels the need for speed... speed dating in fact.

In case you haven't heard of this latest craze, it basically involves joining a bunch of like-minded love cats and getting to know each other in an incredibly short space of time.

Speed Dater, which claims to be the Capital's leading speed dating company, is running an event dedicated to creative, media and marketing professionals in the heart of their happy hunting ground, Soho.

They will be under pressure to make their pitches concise and to the point like never before.

Speed dating involves getting between 50 and 60 single men and women to meet in a bar. Everyone is issued with a scorecard, a pen and a badge. Then the men sit opposite the women and the dating starts. After three minutes, a bell rings and all the men move round one place.

Speed Daters mark on the scorecards who they would like to see again and hand the scorecards in at the end of the evening. Where there's a match, the lucky people concerned receive their love heart's details within 48 hours and are left to do what comes naturally.

The event is being held on Tuesday, February 25, at Tiger Tiger on Haymarket.
