SpeedDater, the UK's leaders in speed dating, are moving into online dating.
SpeedDater Online www.speeddateronline.co.uk soft-launched on 26th February. It aims to become the leading online dating service for UK professionals.

Ben Tisdall, co-founder of SpeedDater said, 'We think there's masses of potential in the UK online dating market. It's growing extremely rapidly and we think there are things that we can do better than the current crop of online dating sites. Many of the sites out there at the moment are poorly designed, difficult to use or not properly tailored to the UK market. We also think there's a big opportunity to get our existing speed dating customers to try online dating. Our research shows that many of them have not tried any kind of organized dating other than speed dating.

SpeedDater Online builds on technology SpeedDater has already developed for its speed dating events. People who attend regular speed dating events are invited to create a short profile. The SpeedDater Online profile is an expanded version of the SpeedDater profile.SpeedDater has a six figure marketing budget for SpeedDater Online and marketing will start in mid-March.
